Hello and welcome to my site! I create small runs of one-of-a-kind ceramics from Australian sourced stoneware and porcelain clay: tableware, garden decor and jewellery.
WHERE TO FIND ME: I work from my home studio in Katoomba, in the beautiful Blue Mountains. If you would like to visit and view work for sale at the studio please get in touch. I take part in local and virtual markets: check out my instagram page for the latest happenings. I have an Etsy online store which focuses on my Wearable Art Collections of brooches and pendants, and soon to be added earrings. There you will find listed all the goodies I currently have for sale.
WORKING METHODS: The majority of my work is thrown on my pottery wheel, and a little of it is hand-built. My background is in design and my favourite part in the 'slow-art' process of making ceramics is the decorating: my miniature clay canvases! I like to experiment with different decorating techniques, such as creating effervescent bubbly underglaze, and small 'action paintings', both of which develop mark making and patterning by semi-controlled chance with (mostly!) happy outcomes. I also love to play around with designs in mono printing, mishima, handmade/found objects stamping.
